How does Positivity give you the Edge?
Allow me to prove it by simply using the opposite. Do this experiment now: I want you to tell yourself repeatedly: ‘I am utterly useless and I am guaranteed 100% to fail’. Make it worse by adding this to the end: ‘and everyone knows it…’ Say it at least 10 times out loud. [Start now] Did you feel vibrant and full of energy saying it? Did you continue all the way to 10? I bet most of you didn’t say it out loud…? For those of you who didn’t do it at all – did the thoughts of saying it make you feel too uncomfortable? No problem. If it’s any consolation, I felt terrible writing it.
Outcomerun – Positivity gives you the Edge is an antidote to negativity. The exaggerated experiment you just did is a played up representation of how many people view themselves. The feelings you experienced link to your thoughts and reverberate through your body. Change your thoughts and habits and you will change how you feel about yourself.
